Verslify — Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 19 September 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Verslify ("the Service," "we," "us," "our"), you ("the User," "you") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Verslify is a web-based workspace for writing, organizing, and storing rap lyrics and related creative material — including folders, version history, reference beat links, tags, and personal notes. The Service offers a free tier ("Free Vault") and a paid subscription tier ("Pro Vault Pass"), as described on our pricing page and subject to change per Section 6.
3. Eligibility and Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.
4. Your Content
- Ownership: You retain full ownership of all lyrics, notes, tags, and other creative material you create or upload to the Service ("User Content"). Verslify claims no ownership over your creative work.
- License to us: You grant Verslify a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you (e.g., saving versions, rendering it in your dashboard, generating exports you request).
- What we store: All User Content stored on our servers is plain text only (lyrics, tags, notes, beat reference links). We do not host or store audio files on our servers; beat playback is provided via embedded third-party links (YouTube, SoundCloud) or, for local files, played directly from your own device for the current session only and never uploaded to us.
- Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to reference or link any third-party material (e.g., beats) within your account.
5. Subscription Plans and Billing
- Free Vault (forever free): Unlimited songs, folders, tags, journal entries, and beat reference links. Full lyric version history is available only on your first 3 songs (up to 5 saved versions each); beyond that, editing a song overwrites the previous draft unless you upgrade.
- Pro Vault Pass (paid, billed monthly): Unlocks unlimited version history on all songs, unlimited custom tags, advanced search, and lyric-sheet PDF export, at the price displayed at checkout, billed on a recurring basis via Razorpay.
- Billing: By subscribing to Pro Vault Pass, you authorize us to charge your chosen payment method on a recurring basis through Razorpay until you cancel.
- Price changes: We may change subscription pricing with at least [30] days' notice to active subscribers before the new price takes effect on their next billing cycle.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your Pro Vault Pass subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again. No partial-month refunds are provided unless required by applicable law.
- Downgrade effects: If you cancel Pro Vault Pass or your subscription lapses, your account reverts to Free Vault limits. Version history already created while on Pro Vault Pass remains stored and viewable, but going forward, only your first 3 songs will continue to receive versioned saves (capped at 5 versions each) as described in Section 4 of our subscription tier structure. Upgrading back does not retroactively recover any versions that were overwritten while on the Free tier.
6. Data Backup on Service Discontinuation
We are committed to giving you control over your own creative work, even if Verslify itself is discontinued.
- If we decide to permanently shut down the Service, discontinue it, or otherwise cease operations, we will provide at least 60 days' advance notice to all registered users via email and/or an in-app notice before final shutdown.
- During this notice period, you will be able to export and download all of your User Content (lyrics, version history, tags, notes, and beat reference links) in a plain-text/portable format at no additional cost.
- We will make reasonable efforts to notify users promptly and to keep the export functionality available and working throughout the entire notice period.
- After the notice period ends, we may permanently delete all remaining User Content from our systems, and we will have no further obligation to provide access to or recovery of that data.
- This clause applies to full discontinuation of the Service. It does not guarantee recovery of individual lyric versions that were already overwritten under the Free Vault tier limits described in Section 5, or content lost due to your own account deletion (see Section 9).
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store content that infringes on the rights of others.
- Attempt to bypass subscription limits, security measures, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Upload malicious code or interfere with the operation of the Service for other users.
8. Intellectual Property
The Verslify name, logo, interface design, and underlying software are the property of verslify and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission. This does not extend to your own User Content, which remains yours under Section 4.
9. Account Termination
- By you: You may delete your account at any time from account settings. Deletion permanently removes your User Content from our active systems, subject to any backup retention required for legal or security purposes, and is not covered by the shutdown notice period in Section 6 (that period applies only when we discontinue the Service, not to individual account deletions).
- By us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure, though we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Verslify shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of data not attributable to our failure to honor the backup/export commitments in Section 6.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least [15] days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Etah, Uttar Pradesh - 207001.
